Bradley Luggage – Interesting Origins Revealed …

Ever wondered how the delightful range of Vera Bradley luggage and purse got its start?
It was 1982… the founders, Patricia Miller and Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, were waiting for a flight in Atlanta. Looking around they realised something was lacking – there was just no feminine-looking luggage anywhere to be seen.
That realization was all it took to spark the creation of the Vera Bradley company (named after Barbara’s mother) which was soon manufacturing the wonderful quilted cotton Bradley luggage, purses and accessories which we have grown to know and love.
Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Vera Bradley is a remarkable success story. It’s luggage and purse products are an absolute pleasure to own, not to mention show off while waiting for your next flight.
Their growing popularity is highlighted in this video which starts with a few words from co-founders Barbara and Patricia. The video continues with a sampling of where Vera Bradley products have been spotted lately… and its not just at airports…
When it comes to practicality, Vera Bradley purses are top of the line. They may not cost as much as brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada, but they are carried by the same people that carry those brands around in the form of totes and handbags. But what good is a purse if it is not useful? Yes, it may look pretty and you may even be in style, but does it really work in the real world.
Spill some coffee or grape juice on that leather Coach purse and you may be pulling your hair out, but if you have a Vera Bradley purse you simply just throw it into the washing machine. In fact, you can use the same laundry detergent that you use on all of your clothes to get the stains out of your Vera Bradley bag. Since the purses are built so well you will not have to worry too much about color fading either.
So yes, you can wash your bag over and over again. Every once in a while you will probably want to wash it just to keep it smelling fresh and clean. It’s a wonderful feature because you will feel like you have a whole new purse again, and it hardly cost you anything.
Not only are the bags practical for keeping them clean and looking new, but they also have pockets in the perfect places and plenty of room to carry just about anything you would need. What I love most about them is that they are nice and soft, making them comfortable to carry on your shoulder.

Purcahsed a big vera bradley bag a while back… wondering what pattern it is. I used to know… I’m pretty sure they don’t sell it anymore. This is a big tote bag, purchased for a great deal of money at Hallmark (who even makes them MORE expensive… ha!) I’m selling it… any idea how much to sell it for? It’s big (not purse size) but also not huge luggage size… could be used to a weekend getaway, etc. If anyone has a pricing range and also some info on the pattern, I’d GREATLY appreciate it. I imagine I can’t sell it for what it was sold (over $100) but any help, I’d love. I basically though want to know the BACKGROUND of this pattern.
Thanks.

The pattern is called Hope Toile. The bag is called the Miller Bag. The Miller Bag retails for $84 normally priced. The pattern Hope Toile was retired last summer. Vera Bradley clearenced all thier Hope Toile things out for 40% off the original price. However you can no longer buy them so it is worth more than the original $84. People looking to buy Vera Bradley’s that are used look for ones that still have the tangs (I doub’t yours still does) and look for ones with no damage or wear. I would probably ask anywhere from $100-$125 for the bag if I were selling it based on the criteria I listed.
What is a good Christmas present for Mom and Dad?

I need some ideas of presents to give my parents for Christmas. My dad is into fishing, playing poker, and being outdoors. My mom likes to work out and is pretty feminine. She likes girl things. I thought about getting her a Briton bracelet or a new Vera Bradley luggage bag so I am more concerned about finding a present for my Dad but suggestions for both are welcome! Thank you! 10 points to the best answer ![]()
Nice digital photo frame for both of them together (because it is kind of expensive) figure out where it would look nice to make sure you get a frame that would look good where they would most likely put it up.
Can a large vera bradley duffel be used as a carry on?

I’m flying on conteinental airlines next week, and I was just wondering if my large vera bradley duffel would fit the requirements for carry on luggage. Is it too big?
You should check the continental airline’s carry on measurement. And as long as you can fit the duffle back into that dimention (meaning, even if your bag itself is bigger, but you don’t pack it full and things in there are flexible), it would be fine.
